  • DEF study morning with Revd Dr Ian Paul

    Where is the world heading to? Speculation about the end of the world has been a universal feature of human culture, and this question underpins much of New Testament thinking. What does the NT say about ’the end of the world’? This will be the topic of our study morning.

  • Celebration and Thanksgiving

    Nelson St Church Nelson Street, Rochdale

    An afternoon of worship and celebration for what God is doing around our diocese, and to pray for all the churches represented by DEF members. The best place to park is the car park on Church Lane (free parking for 3hours, but you still need to get a ticket).

  • DEF meeting with Helen Thorne

    Holy Trinity Platt Platt Lane, Manchester

    Our speaker will be Helen Thorne. Helen is Director of Training and Resources at Biblical Counselling UK (www.biblicalcounselling.org.uk) and author of 'Walking with domestic abuse sufferers' (IVP 2018). Helen will be helping us to think Biblically about domestic abuse.

  • Preparing for advent with Paul Jump

    St Clement's Church Ashton Old Road, Manchester

    Our speaker will be Paul Jump. Paul is vicar of St Clement's Church, Openshaw and a member of our DEF. Paul will be opening up a bible passage for us as we look ahead to Advent and Christmas.

  • DEF meeting with Michael Leyden

    Church of the Saviour Collyhurst, Manchester

    The Revd Canon Dr Michael Leyden, dean of Emmanuel Theological College, will join us to encourage us from the Bible and to help us to think about theological education and ministerial training.

  • Celebration and AGM

    St Martin’s Church 112 Crescent Park, Stockport

    An evening of worship and celebration for what God is doing around our diocese, and to pray for all the churches represented by DEF members. The evening will include a brief annual general meeting.

  • DEF meeting with John Dunnett

    Zoom

    John Dunnett will be joining us to reflect on February's General Synod meeting and to update us on the work of CEEC. John is the National Director of the Church of England Evangelical Council (CEEC). A link to the Zoom meeting will be emailed to members before the meeting.
